CEFOW-project looking at early 2017 EMEC deployment

The consortium has announced that the Wello Oy Penguin wave energy converter (WEC) will be making its way to Orkney in 2017 as part of the Horizon 2020-funded CEFOW project.

The preparation works for the WEC are near completion and the project partners have revised their plans to deploy at European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in Scotland to speed up installation by using Wello’s existing berth at the EMEC’s Billia Croo wave test site in early 2017.
